Robin Tucker – Dip Hyp, Ad Dip PC
I developed an interest in hypnotherapy after completing a Diploma in Sports Psychology to help with my football coaching. I became interested in how powerful the mind can be in the performance of competitors and in the general well-being of people. Being able to assist clients using an appropriate therapy, either hypnotherapy or counselling and helping them change limiting beliefs is an amazing experience. Learning to believe in yourself with new thoughts leading to new ideas and new beliefs really can improve performance in any aspect of life.
My voyage through life followed a 26 year career in the Royal Navy before completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education. I had coached youth football for many years and the move into education was a logical progression. Becoming a hypnotherapist and counsellor offered the perfect way for me to help others. Seeing people improve their well being, relieve anxiety levels and become more confident to go on and fulfil their potential is extremely rewarding.
My experiences in a pressured military environment as well as in the classroom, give me a unique insight into the highs and lows of professional life. The constant ebb and flow of new initiatives, targets and pressures to perform to ever greater levels can become all consuming; my goal is to help you plot a calmer course in life to achieve your goals.
I have a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am also a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society and the National Counselling Society.
